What course(s) am I required to take to get a MO real estate license?

Applicants for a Missouri real estate license, who currently are unlicensed in any other jurisdiction, must complete the detailed coursework listed below, to be eligible for a real estate license and:

· Complete the 48-hour pre-exam course before applying for licensure. The MREC will not accept applications for real estate licenses without evidence that the applicant has completed the 48-hour pre-exam course before applying.

· Then, complete the MREP – the Missouri Real Estate Practice course that covers 24 classroom hours.

Note: the 48-hour pre-exam course MUST be completed prior to taking the Missouri State licensing exam. However, the 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice course may be taken before sitting for the Missouri State exam, or applying for a Missouri real estate license.
