What does the NC Real Estate Commission consider to be a conviction?

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission expects all applicants to disclose any conviction of a misdemeanor or felony offense, including military criminal convictions, that were received at any time in their life. This includes serious traffic convictions such as DUIs or reckless driving.

The Commission will review the level and seriousness of the conviction. In addition, it will assess any aggravating or mitigating factors brought forth during sentencing, any active or suspended jail time ordered, and any type of probation and its duration.
