The Tennessee Real Estate Commission states that successful completion of the examination does not guarantee issuance of an affiliate broker license.
According to TCA 62-13-303, licenses shall only be granted to persons who bear a good reputation for honesty, trustworthiness, integrity and competence to transact the business of affiliate broker in a manner to safeguard the interest of the public. A license will only be granted after satisfactory proof of such qualifications has been presented to the commission.
The Tennessee Real Estate Commission carefully scrutinizes each application to ensure the above character traits for reputation are met. In addition, on examination day, you will be asked a series of qualifying questions. Your answers will impact your ability to become licensed in Tennessee. Your background check will also be reviewed by the Commission and taken into account in determining whether or not to grant a license.
